Pedestrian Coffee - Belmont

Just steps underneath the Belmont CTA station, this is a fabulously convenient spot that also has a lot of heart.

You can tell they're leaning into the CTA station access because of some thoughtful nods to it. They have a grab & go window for sidewalk access (closed when I was there). And inside near the door they have an LED sign showing real-time arrival information and CTA service alerts.

I was lucky enough to get there late enough in the day where their homemade sourdough cinnamon rolls were half price. I'm a pretty simple guy so this was an easy choice.

The layout of the café is straightforward and accommodating. They have a variety of 2-tops, with some longer bench tables for larger groups. They also have three bar height areas with power, and an L-shaped couch in the back corner.

They also have a pleasant modern outdoor space in a variety of bench seating conditions. It's nicely laid out and comfortable, but the train roars right over your head every few minutes, so consider headphones.

Otherwise, noise levels were very pleasant. It has great acoustics, the music is at a nice low volume, and I never noticed the sound of any train cars from inside the building.

The staff were all pleasant and the vibes are solid, so this is definitely a place I'll come back to!
